TrueRC vs VAS antennas for diversity setup - 2026 testing comparison

  • Members

Been testing different antenna combinations on my analog diversity receiver setup this season. TrueRC and VAS are both constantly doing R&D so what was the best antenna 2 years ago may only be middle of the road now. In my testing, stock antennas had more frequent drops in bitrate compared to TrueRC antennas - people complain about the price but TrueRC performance speaks for itself. However I'm curious about VAS Pepperbox performance for long range. Someone mentioned getting out over 8 miles with VAS Pepperbox and Ion V2 combo on EV800D goggles. Anyone have recent comparisons between current TrueRC Singularity vs VAS offerings?

I've used TrueRC Singularity stubbies since the V1 goggles and Duality stubbies since V2 launch - definitely noticeable difference especially in high multi-path environments. Haven't tried the latest VAS stuff though.

There are lots of antenna comparison tests on YouTube if you have specific antennas in mind. I can suggest ones I've been successful with, but I haven't tried them all - you might find something that performs even better for your setup.
