been flying my mini 3 pro for about 6 months now and i think i finally got something worth sharing. went out last tuesday evening to the reservoir near my place, conditions were perfect, barely any wind and the light was doing that thing where everything turns orange and pink at the same time. i did a slow orbit around the little dock on the north end and honestly i think its the best footage ive captured so far.

gonna try to link the youtube video once i get it uploaded, still rendering right now but should be up tonight. mostly looking for feedback on the color grading, i used d-log and then tried to do the grade myself in davinci resolve but im not totally sure i pushed it too far or not far enough. the highlights around the sun feel a bit blown out to me but my buddy said it looks fine

d-log on the mini 3 is tricky, took me forever to get a grade i was happy with. the blown highlights thing is almost always an exposure issue at capture rather than something you can fix in post, at least thats been my experience. if you were shooting auto exposure it probably clipped when the sun dipped low. next time try dialing in -1 or even -1.3 EV compensation when youre shooting into the sun direction and see if that helps recover the sky

oh nice im curious to see it. i tried filming at my local lake last month and the wind kept picking up every time i got into position, got nothing usable. jealous you had calm conditions
