what case are you guys using for travel with a mini 3?

so i finally decided i need to stop throwing my mini 3 pro into my backpack wrapped in a tshirt lol. been lucky so far but im heading on a longer trip next month and want something proper. not sure if i should go with one of those hard shell cases or just a good padded bag. ive seen the dji shoulder bag thing but it looks kinda overpriced for what it is honestly. anyone have something they actually love and use regularly? doesnt have to be fancy just needs to protect it well and not be a pain to carry through airports

i picked up a tomcase a while back and honestly its been great. fits the mini 3, the rc controller, a couple extra batteries and nd filters no problem. the foam cutouts are solid and nothing rattles around. took it on like 6 flights overseas now and zero issues. the hard shell gives me way more peace of mind than a soft bag, especially checking luggage or getting bumped in overhead bins

only thing i'll say is measure your controller first because some third party cases cut the foam for the standard rc-n1 and if you have the rc controller with the screen it might not fit right out of the box. learned that the hard way with an older case i bought

I just use a Lowepro photo backpack that I already had, fits everything in the padded compartments with room for a jacket and stuff. not drone specific but honestly works fine. I think people overthink the case situation a bit, as long as nothing is loose and hitting other things youre probably okay
