so ive been flying phantoms for like 4 years and finally made the jump to an evo 2 pro last month. overall im pretty happy but theres a few things nobody really warned me about that i figured id mention in case anyone else is thinking about making the switch.
first the good stuff ? the 6k sensor is genuinely impressive, especially in good light. colors out of the camera feel a bit warmer than what i was getting from the phantom 4 pro which i actually prefer. the folding arms are nice for travel obviously but the whole thing still feels pretty solid when its in the air, no weird wobble or anything.
now the weird stuff. the autel sky app is... fine? but its definitely not as polished as DJI go. there were a couple times where i lost the live feed for a few seconds and it came back, which made me a little nervous even though the drone was completely stable. also the battery life is decent but nowhere near what they advertise, at least in my experience. im getting maybe 25-27 mins in calm conditions, not the 40 they claim.
the controller feels chunky compared to what i was used to but i actually got used to it pretty fast. anyone else notice the return to home being a little sluggish on this thing? like it comes home fine but it feels like its taking its time. might just be a setting i havent found yet
