25mw is definitely part of the problem but shouldnt cause dropouts at 80m on Walksnail unless something else is wrong. first thing id check is whether the VTX antenna is actually making solid contact,

honestly Walksnail at 25mw is just not great in my experience, like its fine for a small park or a tight course but if youre anywhere with any RF noise its going to struggle. bump it to 200mw and see
ok so bear with me because im not entirely sure whats going on here. built a 5 inch freestyle quad last month, running a Walksnail Avatar HD system for video and ExpressLRS 2.4ghz for control link. control link is totally fine, havent had a single issue there, but the Walksnail video feed starts breaking up and going to static at around 80-100 meters which is honestly embarrassing for a digital HD system.
the VTX is set to 25mw because im flying at a local field that has other pilots and i dont want to stomp on everyone but even so 80 meters seems way too short. antennas look fine visually, i reseated them last night. goggles are the Avatar goggles X version. not sure if i wired something wrong or if there's something obvious im missing, ive been building for about 8 months so im not totally new but still learning.
oh also the quad is a 5 inch on a generic frame, stack is a speedybee f405 v3 if that matters at all
