Air 3 vs Mini 4 Pro ? someone just help me pick one already lol

ok so ive been lurking here for like two months reading every comparison thread and i feel like i know less than when i started. my budget is around $900-950 and i keep going back and forth between these two. i dont have a drone yet this would be my first real one (had a cheap toy thing years ago that doesnt count).

the way i fly ? or plan to fly i guess ? is mostly landscape stuff, some travel, occasionally trying to get shots of my friends mountain biking on trails. i live in a pretty rural area so i dont stress too much about the Part 107 stuff but i know i should probably look into it.

from what i can tell the Air 3 has the dual cameras which seems cool but is it actually useful or is it more of a gimmick for most people. and the Mini 4 Pro is lighter which matters for travel but i hear the zoom on the Air 3 is genuinely good. someone in another thread said the Air 3 handles wind better and that kind of sealed it for me but then i read something else that contradicted it so who knows

anyway if you had to pick one for my use case what would you actually buy

for the mountain biking shots specifically i would lean Air 3, the 3x telephoto isnt a gimmick at all for that kind of thing ? being able to hang back further from a trail and still get a tight shot of someone riding through makes a big difference and you dont have to get the drone as close which is safer for everyone involved. ive used both and the zoom lens genuinely changed how i approach action shots.

the wind handling difference is real but not dramatic, both are solid in moderate wind but the Air 3 is noticeably more stable in anything gusty just because of the extra mass. for landscape and travel stuff either works fine honestly but the dual camera system on the Air 3 will give you more creative options as you get more comfortable flying. i think most beginners dont realize how much they start wanting that flexibility after a few months.

honestly i had this exact debate and went Mini 4 Pro and im happy with it but i will say the one thing i wish i had was the longer zoom for specific shots. the 2x on the mini is fine but its not the same. depends how serious the action stuff is i guess ? if its casual just getting some cool clips of friends then mini is totally fine, if you want proper tracking shots with some distance then air 3 probably makes more sense. also the mini fits in my daypack way easier which for travel has been huge for me so thats worth something
