ok so ive been running fatshark dominator HD3s for like 3 years now and honestly theyre fine, i dont have major complaints but everyone in my local group keeps pushing me toward DJI and saying analog is basically dead. my buddy just picked up the DJI O3 setup and yeah the footage looked crisp when he showed me but i wasnt wearing the goggles myself so hard to judge.
my main thing is i fly a lot of tight wooded areas and i care way more about latency and penetration through trees than i do about having a pretty picture. like id take a slightly blurry feed with zero breakup over a gorgeous feed that goes to static the second theres a branch in the way. does anyone actually have side by side experience with both in similar conditions? not looking for a marketing answer here just real world
also kind of worried about the whole ecosystem lock-in thing with DJI, like if they discontinue something im just stuck whereas with analog i can throw any vtx on there and go
