been on the simulator for probably 60+ hours at this point. velocidrone mostly. i can do basic stuff, split s, figure eights, keeping reasonably smooth lines through gates. but when i get on my actual quad it feels like starting from scratch every single time. the muscle memory just doesnt transfer the way people say it will.
i think part of it is my quad is way punchier than anything i can replicate in the sim even with the physics tweaked. running like 2306 motors on a 5 inch with a pretty aggressive tune and the sim just doesnt really capture that snap. also crashing in real life is extremely different mentally from crashing in the sim, i tense up and overcorrect.
not really sure what im asking. just feeling frustrated. been doing this for 8 months and i feel like progeny who started after me are already flying better. anyone else go through a long plateau like this or did i just hit my ceiling already
