just got a mini 2 SE as my first drone, got it used from someone locally for a pretty good price and it came with just the drone and controller, no extra batteries or anything. im trying to figure out what stuff is actually useful to get vs what is just kind of marketed at beginners who dont know better. ive been looking at nd filter sets, landing pads, extra batteries obviously, and one of those shoulder bags. the filters especially confuse me because theres like a huge range from cheap amazon sets to the expensive ones and i genuinely cant tell if there is a real difference or if im just paying for a brand name. any advice from people who actually use this stuff day to day would be great, not looking to spend a ton but dont want to waste money either

honestly the two things that made the biggest difference for me were extra batteries and a decent bag, in that order. you think one battery is fine until you get somewhere amazing and its dead after 20 minutes. i have 4 batteries for my mini 3 and i still sometimes wish i had more on longer trips. the landing pad is nice but not essential, i flew for like a year without one and just found a clean patch of ground. for ND filters on a beginner drone i'd actually say skip the expensive ones for now, i use a cheap Freewell set and they do the job fine, the difference between those and the really expensive filters on a mini sensor is not worth the price gap in my opinion. get the batteries first

the bag thing depends how you travel with it. if youre just driving to spots a cheap backpack with some foam works fine but if youre hiking or flying anywhere you need to be discreet then a proper case matters more. also make sure whatever extra batteries you buy are genuine DJI ones, the third party ones seem like a deal but ive read too many stories about them swelling or just dying after a few charge cycles. not worth it imo
