mini 3 pro keeps drifting sideways when hovering, is this normal??

  • Members

so ive had my mini 3 pro for about 3 months now and i keep noticing that when i just let go of the sticks it slowly drifts to the left. not a lot but enough to be annoying especially when im trying to hold a shot. i always calibrate before flying or at least i think im doing it right, i do the IMU calibration on flat ground. wind was pretty calm today too so i dont think thats it

its not crashing or anything just slowly creeping. happens indoors too which is weird. anyone else get this or did i mess something up

compass calibration might be the culprit more than IMU honestly. try doing a full compass cal in an open area away from any metal structures or cars, that stuff messes with it more than people realize. also check if your RC signal is clean because sometimes slight stick drift on the controller itself can cause it if the sticks arent perfectly centered

if its happening indoors thats almost definitely not a GPS issue since itll be flying on vision positioning indoors anyway. could just be the VPS struggling if the floor doesnt have enough texture or contrast for it to lock onto

mine did something similar when i first got it and it turned out i was accidentally bumping the left stick like barely touching it without realizing. felt dumb when i figured it out lol. probably not your issue but worth double checking
