finally upgraded from mini 2 to mavic 3 classic ? some thoughts after first few weeks

so ive been flying the mini 2 for almost two years and honestly loved it but i kept running into its limits especially with the fixed aperture and the way it struggled in anything less than perfect light. picked up the mavic 3 classic about three weeks ago now and man the hasselblad sensor thing is not just marketing, the footage genuinely looks different in ways i wasnt expecting.

what surprised me most was the return to home improvements, it actually avoided a tree on the way back last week which the mini 2 definitely would have just flown straight into. obstacle avoidance on the 3 classic feels way more confident all around. only gripe so far is the size difference is real, it doesnt just slip in a jacket pocket anymore so ive had to rethink my whole carry setup. using a lowepro bag now which works but its another thing to lug around. anyone else make this jump? curious if others noticed the wind resistance difference too because that part has been pretty significant for me

made the same jump except i went from mini 2 straight to the full mavic 3 with the tele lens and yeah the wind handling is night and day. i fly a lot on the coast so that actually mattered more to me than the image quality honestly. the classic should be similar since its the same airframe. the bag situation is real though, took me a while to find something that worked without feeling like im hauling camera gear everywhere. ended up with a think tank bag which might be overkill but it protects everything well.

ooh this is timely, im literally trying to decide between the classic and waiting to see if they drop a mavic 4 or whatever. how do you find the battery life in real conditions? the specs say 46 mins but ive heard people getting way less than that when its actually windy or cold
