one motor running hotter than the others after crash ? normal?

so i had a pretty minor tip-over on landing last week, nothing dramatic, one arm hit the ground at a weird angle and a prop struck before i could disarm. ran it through a few packs since then and everything seems fine except motor 3 is noticeably warmer to the touch after a 10 minute flight. like, the other three you can hold your finger on no problem but motor 3 you pull your hand back after a second.

no weird sounds, no oscillations i can notice, throttle response seems the same, blackbox doesn't show anything obviously wrong in motor output. stator looks clean from what i can see without pulling it apart. just wondering if maybe a bearing got knocked slightly or if im overthinking this and it's just a hot motor. it's a 2306 2450kv if that matters.

gonna swap it out before a longer trip i have planned but wanted to know if anyone's had this and what the actual cause ended up being.

yeah pull it. if its running hotter than the others after the same workload that bearing is done or at least on its way out. you can sometimes feel it if you spin the shaft by hand with the props off ? a good bearing spins smooth and quiet, a bad one has a little grittiness or you can hear it. might be subtle but its there. not worth chasing down a crash over a $15 motor.

had the exact same thing happen on my 5 inch after a fence tap. turned out one of the stator windings had a partial short ? not enough to show up obviously in logs but enough to make it work harder for the same output. i actually measured the resistance across the motor terminals compared to the other three and one phase was a bit different. anyway i just replaced it and didnt think too hard about it, honestly not worth diagnosing too deep on a 2306.
