Tilted gimbal issue on my EVO - common problem?

  • Members

Just got my EVO back from repair and I'm still getting tilted/crooked footage in my videos. This is my third time dealing with this issue and I'm getting frustrated. I don't have serious issue with the refurbished Evo, just the usual tilted background on the videos. The drone flies fine otherwise but all my footage looks slightly off-level.

Has anyone found a permanent fix for this? Starting to wonder if this is just a design flaw with the gimbal system.

Bent and tilted are 2 different issues. The one we usually experience is the tilted. It's unfortunately pretty common on the EVO series. Some people have had success with manual gimbal calibration, but it seems to come back eventually.

I'm dealing with the exact same thing! Glad I'm not the only one. One thing to keep in mind when transporting the EVO II is that its gimbal is quite delicate and fragile when not secured by the plastic gimbal protector. It is just as important to keep that gimbal protector in place when not in use as it is to remove it before flight. Are you always using the gimbal guard?

If you have an Autel drone, if you notice a gimbal vibration problem with the drone camera, you can send it to an Autel local service station in the US for repair. Since you've already been through repair multiple times, you might want to escalate with Autel support - this sounds like a persistent hardware issue that should be covered under warranty.
