finally picked up an EVO II Pro after going back and forth for months ? some thoughts

ok so ive been lurking on this forum forever trying to decide between the EVO II Pro and just going with the obvious choice everyone recommends. ended up pulling the trigger on the EVO II last week and honestly... i dont regret it. the 6k sensor is doing things i wasnt expecting for the price i paid used.

couple things i noticed right away ? the sky autonomy obstacle avoidance is actually pretty solid in my backyard which is kind of a tree nightmare. lost a mini 2 in those same trees last year so i was nervous. also the remote is way more comfortable in my hands than i expected, feels chunky but in a good way if that makes sense.

the one thing thats been bugging me is the Autel sky app feels a little clunky compared to what im used to. like it works but some of the menus take forever to find. anyone else feel like that or is it just a learning curve thing? also wondering if people are using third party apps with it, ive seen some mentions of Litchi but wasnt sure if it plays nice with the EVO II.

anyway not a full review or anything just wanted to share since this community helped me decide. happy to answer questions if anyone is considering the same jump.

the app thing is real, took me a solid month before i stopped getting lost in it. there's a firmware update from earlier this year that made some of the menu navigation less painful but its still not as snappy as some competitors. Litchi doesnt officially support EVO II last i checked but some people have gotten it kind of working, not sure id rely on it for anything serious though.

the obstacle avoidance on those things is genuinely underrated. i fly in a lot of tight spots and it's saved me more than once. enjoy the 6k, once you dial in your color profile the footage is pretty great.

wait you said you got it used? where do you usually look for used EVO stuff, i feel like they dont show up on the normal secondhand sites as often as other brands. been thinking about trying one but buying new feels like a lot when im still pretty new to all this
