With all the changes in the FPV landscape this year, I want to get the community's take on brand positioning. Here's my current assessment:

• iFlight: offers durable, customizable drones ideal for both amateurs and pros, with strong community support - seems like the safe middle ground
• GEPRC: Really impressed with their frame quality, but limited BNF options
• DJI: leads with cutting-edge digital FPV tech and cinematic quality, perfect for pilots who want speed and stunning visuals - but the regulatory uncertainty is concerning

What's your experience been with these brands in 2026? Any shifts in quality or support that I should know about?

In December 2025, the FCC added DJI to its Covered List, meaning future imports may be restricted. That single ruling changed how buyers are thinking about brand loyalty and long-term support. I'm avoiding DJI for new builds now.

GEPRC frames are bulletproof but you're right about BNF selection. For racing, T-Motor, BrotherHobby, iFlight, and EMAX lead. High KV motors (2300-3000KV) on 4S or 6S offer blistering speed. I build GEPRC frames with iFlight stacks - best of both worlds.

Don't sleep on the smaller brands. Potensic's Atom series genuinely delivers more capability per dollar, appearing on multiple best-cheap-drone lists in 2025 and 2026. Obviously not the same market segment, but shows innovation is happening everywhere.
