thinking about switching from DJI ? anyone actually made the jump to Autel

so this has been in the back of my mind for a while. ive been flying DJI stuff since the phantom days and generally happy but the whole geofencing thing has gotten more annoying lately and i had a weird situation last month where i couldnt unlock a zone that made zero sense. nothing sensitive about the location at all. anyway not trying to start a whole political thing about it just thinking practically.

a buddy of mine picked up the Autel Evo Lite+ a while back and seems happy with it, says the image quality is actually really good and he likes that theres less software restriction nonsense. but i dont know anyone personally whos used the newer Evo Nano+ or the Lite 2 or whatever they're calling it now and i cant find reviews that dont feel like they were written by someone who has never actually flown the thing.

main things i care about: reliability in slightly windy conditions, decent low light performance because i like golden hour stuff, and the app not being a total nightmare. range matters a little but im not one of those guys flying 5 miles away so its not a dealbreaker. anyone switched and either loved it or gone back to DJI?

flew Autel for about a year after getting frustrated with DJI for similar reasons. the hardware is genuinely solid, wind handling on the Evo Lite+ was fine in moderate stuff, and yeah the no-geofence thing is a relief. but honestly the app drove me a little crazy ? its not terrible but its also not as polished as DJI's and there were a couple firmware updates that introduced bugs that took a while to get fixed. ended up going back to DJI just because the ecosystem is so mature at this point. might try Autel again in another year or two if they keep improving the software side

the low light thing ? from what ive seen the Evo Lite+ sensor is actually pretty competetive with stuff in its price range for golden hour type shots. probably not quite air 3 level but closer than youd expect. theres a few side by side videos on youtube from that one channel, cant remember the name, where they do proper comparisons not just vague impressions. worth digging around before you decide
