got a mini 2 se coming in the mail this week, first drone ever. the amount of accessories people say you need is kind of overwhelming and i dont know whats actually useful vs what people just buy because they can. already got the fly more combo so i have the extra batteries and the charging hub.

someone at work told me i need nd filters right away and someone else said dont bother until i know what im doing. also saw people talking about landing pads and propeller guards and i honestly have no idea if any of that stuff matters for just flying around a park and learning. budget isnt huge so trying to figure out what actually makes a difference

honestly for just learning you dont need much at all. prop guards are fine if youre nervous about crashing indoors or close to stuff but they do affect flight performance a little and for outdoor park flying youre probably fine without them. landing pad is nice to have, i got a cheap one off amazon for like 12 bucks and it keeps grass and dirt out of the motors when you land, worth it imo especially if youre not always landing on pavement.

nd filters i would skip for now. when youre first starting out youre focused on just not crashing and getting used to the controls, worrying about shutter speed and all that is going to distract you from actually learning to fly. get them later when you start caring about footage quality.

the landing pad thing is actually more usefull than it sounds, had a motor issue on my mini 2 that i'm pretty sure came from sucking up debris on a grass landing. could be coincidence but still. other than that and maybe a shoulder bag to carry everything i wouldnt stress about accessories early on, learn to fly first
