nazgul evoque keeps wobbling on fast rolls, tried everything

okay this has been driving me insane for like three weeks. got a nazgul evoque f5 v2 and the thing flies great at normal speeds, locks in pretty well, but the second i throw a fast snap roll or do anything aggressive it gets these weird oscillations on exit. not prop wash exactly, or at least it doesnt feel like typical prop wash, its more like the quad doesnt know where it is for a half second after the move.

ive already bumped d term up, tried dropping p a bit on roll, ran blackbox and honestly i can kind of see something but im not great at reading it. running stock iflight betaflight tune which i know is probably the first thing people are gonna say to ditch. motors are the xing2 2306s that it ships with, nothing unusual.

not sure if this is a tune issue or if im doing something wrong with my inputs. been flying for two years so im not a total beginner but aggressive freestyle is still kinda new to me

yeah ditch the stock tune, like immediately. iflight ships these with safe conservative pids because they have to cover a huge range of pilots and they dont want warranty returns from beginners who crash because the quad was too twitchy. its not a bad starting point but its definitely not where you want to be for aggressive freestyle.

what you're describing on roll exits sounds like d term is actually too low still OR your filtering is too aggressive and killing response. post your blackbox graphs if you can, specifically look at gyro vs setpoint on the roll axis during one of those moves. if gyro is lagging way behind setpoint thats your answer. also check your rpm filter is configured properly, the evoque motors have a specific rpm range and sometimes the notch filters arent set right out of the box.

also what props are you running, the stock gemfan 51477s or something else

had almost the exact same thing on my evoque actually, took me forever to figure out it was partially a flex issue with the camera mount vibrating and feeding garbage into the gyro during hard moves. might be worth checking that nothing is loose before you go too deep into pid land. just something to rule out
