anyone switched from DJI to Autel recently ? thinking about the Evo Lite+ but nervous

so this is kind of a weird one. i've been flying DJI stuff for years, had a Mavic 2 Pro, then a Mini 2, currently using an old Air 2S that still works great. the thing is ive just been a little frustrated with DJI's software lately, the fly app has been annoying me and there was that whole period where i was worried about the US ban stuff (i know its complicated and probably fine but still).

started looking at Autel seriously for the first time and the Evo Lite+ on paper looks pretty competitive with the Air 2S honestly. 1 inch sensor, decent flight time, the orange color is kind of a pro actually for visibility. but i cant find many people who actually use one day to day, most reviews i see are from like and are clearly sponsored or at least heavily influenced.

if anyone has made this switch or even just flown both i'd love a real honest take. specifically curious about the controller feel, reliability, and whether the image quality actually holds up against the 1 inch DJI sensor or if its just close on paper

i tried the Evo Lite+ for about two months before going back to DJI and honestly it wasnt bad, just... different. the image quality was genuinely good, i dont think you'd be disappointed there. the thing that got me was the app ecosystem ? DJI's integrations with things like Litchi and just the general third party support is so much more mature. felt like i was always one update away from something breaking on the Autel side. also the controller felt a little plasticky compared to what im used to but thats subjective i guess.

not trying to talk you out of it, the Autel is a real drone and a real competitor, i just think for someone who's been deep in DJI world the transition friction is more than you'd expect

the ban stuff is probably worth not stressing about too much, thats been hanging over DJI for years and they're still here. but i get the feeling of wanting to diversify or just try something different. havent flown the Evo Lite+ specifically but a guy in my local club has one and he seems happy with it, said the wind resistance surprised him in a good way. might be worth seeing if theres a local shop that lets you handle one before committing
