so ive been flying my mavic 3 for about 8 months now and for the first 6 months i basically grounded myself any time the wind got above like 10mph because i was scared of losing it. recently ive been forcing myself to go out in rougher conditions to build up confidence and honestly its been going pretty well but im not sure if my technique is actually correct or if im just getting lucky.
what i've been doing is basically flying into the wind on the way out so i have the wind at my back on the return when battery is lower. seems obvious but took me a while to figure that out the hard way. also been keeping altitude lower because i read somewhere that wind is usually worse up high? not sure if thats true everywhere though.
the thing i keep running into is when im trying to do slow cinematic moves crosswind the footage looks okay but the drone is visibly crabbing to hold position and i feel like im fighting the sticks more than i should be. is that just normal or is there a setting or technique im missing
