this has been driving me insane for like two weeks now. my 3.5inch whoop build just randomly disarms during a flight, no pattern i can figure out, sometimes its fine for 10 minutes sometimes it cuts out after 30 seconds. when it disarms it drops obviously and then i can rearm and fly again like nothing happened. its not a battery issue as far as i can tell, ive tried three different batteries all in good shape, voltage looks fine in the osd right before it cuts.

im running betaflight 4.4 and i went through the failsafe settings already and they look correct to me. the rx link doesnt seem to be dropping either, at least the rssi in my goggles stays solid. checked my motor temps after a few flights and theyre all fine, nothing running hot. i did have a pretty rough crash about a month ago but the quad flew great for a couple weeks after that so idk if its related or not.

anyone dealt with this before, where do you even start with something this intermittent

pull the blackbox logs, thats going to tell you way more than anything else. look at what the FC was seeing right before each disarm event ? if its a failsafe trigger youll see it there, if its a power issue youll see voltage drop, if something is spiking the gyro it shows up. intermittent stuff like this is almost impossible to diagnose without logs, you're basically guessing otherwise.

also check your arm/disarm switch config again carefully. ive seen cases where a loose motor or esc wire causes enough vibration-induced continuity issue to briefly toggle an aux channel. sounds weird but it happens especially after a hard crash if something got knocked slightly loose in the stack.

had almost exact same thing happen, turned out one of my motor screws had backed out slightly and was making intermittent contact with the motor bell. caused all kinds of weird behavior. wouldnt have found it without just going over every single screw on the whole build with a driver. tedious but worth doing before you go too deep into software stuff
