taking the mini 4 pro on a backpacking trip, any tips for keeping it safe in a pack

heading to southeast asia for 6 weeks, first time bringing a drone on a long trip like this. im used to day trips but having it rattling around in a backpack for weeks is making me nervous. do people use those hard cases or just trust the foam in the dji bag? also not even sure which countries im going to have issues in, i know thailand has rules but beyond that im kind of clueless about cambodia and vietnam etc

dont bother with a hard pelican type case for backpacking its way too heavy and bulky. i use a small neoprene pouch for the drone itself and keep the batteries in a lipo safe bag in an outside pocket.

vietnam is actually pretty strict on paper, you're supposed to register and get permits and its genuinely complicated. in practice lots of people fly in rural areas without issue but i wouldnt risk it

vietnam is actually pretty strict on paper, you're supposed to register and get permits and its genuinely complicated. in practice lots of people fly in rural areas without issue but i wouldnt risk it in cities or near anything military looking, which in vietnam is kind of everywhere honestly. cambodia seemed more relaxed when i was there but that was a couple years ago so double check. thailand requires registration through their CAAT website, its actually doable unlike some countries, took me like 45 minutes to sort out before my trip
