so i saw a post on facebook about a fly-in happening at Lakeside park on the 14th, looks like its being organized by the local RC club but they said multirotors are welcome too. ive never been to one of these things before and honestly not sure what to expect. do people just show up and fly or is there like a schedule and stuff. also wondering if i need to pre-register or if its a just show up kind of deal

ive been to a few of these through my club and its usually pretty relaxed, most fly-ins are just show up and fly situations especially if its a smaller local one. sometimes theres a raffle or a group flight at a specific time but nothing crazy. just bring more batteries than you think you need and maybe a canopy for shade if its gonna be hot. oh and dont forget your registration number if you're in the US, some clubs ask to see it

which lakeside park? there's like three of them near me lol. but yeah go for it, i went to my first fly-in last summer and it was super chill, met some really cool people and got to see a bunch of setups i'd never seen in person. someone had a massive octocopter that thing was insane
