anyone else here not really care about specs anymore

idk maybe this is a weird take but i feel like i stopped caring about specs a while back. like every new release im seeing people argue about transmission range and obstacle avoidance tiers and whatever and i genuinely cant bring myself to care that much. i fly mostly in open fields and parks, i dont need 20km range, i just want the footage to look good and the thing to not fall out of the sky.

feels like a lot of the hobby online is just gear chasing and benchmark comparing and i get it but also like... at some point you just gotta go fly right

yeah pretty much where im at too. i think theres a phase everyone goes through early on where every spec matters and you convince yourself the next upgrade will unlock something. then eventually you realise the limiting factor is usually just you and the locations youre picking lol

i mean specs still matter to me a little bit just because im fairly new and im still figuring out what i actually need. but i get what your saying, theres definitely people who spend more time on spec sheets than actually flying. my friend hasnt even taken his drone out of the box in three weeks because hes still reading reviews on accessories for it
