so it snowed here yesterday and i was sitting inside looking out the window thinking man the footage would look insane right now but also like... its really cold and i dont want to deal with battery issues and my fingers going numb and all that. ended up not going. anyone actually fly in proper winter conditions regularly? curious how you handle it or if you just take the season off basically

I fly year round, canada here so if i took winters off id basically lose half the year lol. Biggest thing is keeping batteries warm before you go out, i keep them in an insulated bag in the car with a hand warmer tucked in. LiPos really dont like the cold and youll get way shorter flight times if you dont warm them up first. Also fingerless gloves with the mitten flip thing, game changer.

winter light is actually really good for flying imo, low sun angle makes everything look cinematic. i just layer up and deal with it. the snow footage is worth it every time. that said i did fry a battery last february pushing it too hard in like -10c so maybe dont do what i did
