so i saw someone post about a group fly-in happening at redstone park saturday morning, cant find the original post anymore but i think it was through the local rc club. anyone know if its still happening? last time i showed up to one of these things it got cancelled because of wind and nobody bothered to update the facebook event lol

also is it casual just show up and fly or do they do like structured stuff, i have my mini 3 and kinda dont want to show up if everyones running 7 inch freestyle rigs and i look like a tourist

yeah its still on, saw someone confirm it in the club discord this morning. pretty relaxed from what i remember last year, mix of people with all kinds of stuff. i brought my fpv quad and there was a guy flying a massive fixed wing right next to me, nobody cares what you fly honestly

usually they just pick a corner of the field and everyone does their own thing, sometimes someone sets up gates but its not like organized racing or anything. bring a chair its usually a few hours

dude bring the mini 3, half the people at these things are just cruising around anyway. i went to one last spring and felt the same way showing up with a mavic but it was totally chill. more of a hang out and chat situation than anything compettitive
