ok so i was honestly kinda skeptical about going to the local club meetup, figured it would just be a bunch of old dudes standing around arguing about specs or whatever. but man it was actually really fun, ended up staying like 4 hours longer than i planned. met a guy who helped me dial in my rates on the spot and another dude let me fly his long range wing which was insane. didnt even know anyone there beforehand. if your club has meetups and you havent gone yet just go, worst case you leave after an hour

this is exactly how i got into fpv properly. went to a meetup not really knowing anyone, some guy saw me struggling to hover and just walked over and spent like 20 mins helping me. you dont get that watching youtube

yeah the community aspect is genuinely underrated. online forums are great for info but actually being around people who fly is a different thing entirely. also its the only place ive found where nobody thinks its weird that you spent $400 on motors lmao
