Z30 guy here, been using it on an M300 for tower work for about two years. honestly the image quality is not going to win any awards but for documentation and flagging issues it is more than adequate.

not a tower guy specifically but i do a lot of high voltage transmission line work and the interference thing comes up constantly. one thing that helped me was switching to a more conservative GPS ref

been doing cell tower work for about a year now and im still not 100% happy with my setup. running a M3E right now and the zoom is decent but i keep running into situations where im trying to get a close look at a mount or connector and i just cant tell if theres actual corrosion or just grime. the 162mm equiv on the tele gets me close but sometimes its still not quite there especially on taller towers where you really dont want to be flying too close to all that RF.
anyone running a Zenmuse Z30 or similar on a Matrice for this kind of work? i know the Z30 is kind of old at this point but the optical zoom is genuinely useful for standoff distance. just not sure if the image quality holds up well enough for actual documentation that clients want to see. also curious if anyone has had interference issues near active antennas, had a weird compass error situation a couple weeks ago that kind of freaked me out mid-inspection.
