ok so we had about 12 people show up to the field which was way more than usual and it started out fine but then two guys almost had a mid air becuase nobody was really calling out where they were flying. no damage thankfully but it got pretty tense for a second. after that we kind of figured out a loose system where people would just say which direction they were headed and it worked way better. anyway it was a good time overall, someone brought a long range build that was doing like 8km out which was nuts to watch on the screen. just kinda wild how different everyones setups are when you get a bunch of people together

yeah this is why some clubs have a designated flight director for group events, someone whos just watching the sky and coordinating instead of flying. sounds annoying but when you got a dozen people in the air at once it actually makes a huge difference

lol 8km that sounds sketchy depending on where you are. was the guy running a crossfire setup or elrs? always curious what people use for that kind of range
