saw a post somewhere about a casual group fly happening at the reservoir on saturday morning, like 8am or something. i think its the same spot the local club uses. never been to one of these things before and not sure what to expect tbh, do people just show up and fly or is there like an organized thing that happens

im still kinda new so a little nervous about flying around a bunch of people i dont know, what if i crash lol

ive been to a few of those and honestly its pretty chill, nobody is judging you. most guys are just happy to see new people show up. you might get some tips from the older guys which is either great or a little annoying depending on the person lol. just bring extra batteries and show up, worst case you hang out and watch for a bit before flying

yeah those are usually pretty unstructured, at least the ones ive been to. people just fly, chat, maybe someone does a little demo or shows off a new build. bring cash too sometimes they do a food run or there's a raffle or something
