ok this is completely stupid but my buddy came over the other day and asked what i called my fpv quad and i realized i had never actually thought about it. like its just been "the quad" for two years. he names all of his apparently and i felt weirdly embarassed that mine doesnt have a name

so do people actually do this or is he just weird

my first one was "the potato" because it was a cheap little thing that kept crashing and somehow surviving. the one after that i never named and i think it crashed into a lake within like 3 months so maybe thats why lol. current one is just "the 5 inch" which is not a name but whatever it works for me

Genuinely never named any of mine and I've been flying for like 6 years. Your buddy is the weird one, but also that's fine, people do all kinds of things. I do talk to mine when something goes wrong mid-flight which is probably worse when you think about it.
