anyone know the rules for flying in national parks in SE asia, specifically thailand/vietnam

heading to thailand and vietnam in about 6 weeks and i cant find a straight answer anywhere about whether i can bring my air 3 and actually use it. ive read like 5 different articles and they all contradict each other and half of them look like they havent been updated since 2019

i know national parks in thailand are technically a no but ive seen tons of footage that is clearly shot inside them so idk if thats old footage or people just dont care or the rules changed. vietnam seems even more complicated, something about needing to register but the registration process looks like it involves paperwork i cant even read

not trying to be that guy who ignores local laws, genuinely want to do it properly, just finding it really hard to get current info

vietnam is a mess honestly. technically you need approval from the civil aviation authority and it can take weeks, most travelers just dont bother and fly low and fast and hope for the best which i'm not recommending just being honest about what actually happens on the ground there. enforcement is pretty inconsistent outside of major cities and military zones but those you absolutely do not want to mess with

thailand i had less issues with but yeah the national park ban is real, khao sok and doi inthanon both had signs up and staff who definitely noticed drones. i just shot from outside the boundaries which still got decent stuff tbh

i went to vietnam last year and left my drone at home for this exact reason, just couldnt figure it out in time and didnt want it confiscated at customs. probably overly cautious but a week of research and i still wasnt confident i understood the rules correctly so yeah
