my first group flight was kind of a disaster ngl

so i finally went to one of those local meetups ive been seeing posted about for months. showed up with my air 2s feeling pretty confident and then realized pretty quick that like half the people there were doing fpv freestyle and i had zero idea what was going on. one guy nearly clipped my drone on a low pass which gave me a minor heart attack. nobody was being rude about it or anything but i felt pretty out of my loop the whole time. i guess i expected it to be more like, people just casually flying around together but it was way more of an fpv crowd. still kinda fun though, one guy let me try his goggles which was wild

yeah the fpv and the cinematic/camera drone crowds dont always mix super well at these things. not in a hostile way just like different vibes and different airspace needs. some clubs actually split them into separate areas now which helps a lot. dont let it put you off though, once you find the right group its genuinely one of the best parts of the hobby
