taking part 107 next week and kind of freaking out a bit

so ive been studying for about 6 weeks now and i feel okay about most of it but the airspace stuff is really tripping me up. like i get the basic class B C D stuff but when you get into the sectional chart questions with the little numbers and the ceiling/floor values i just zone out. been using the prepware app and some youtube videos but honestly some of the explanations make it more confusing not less.

anyone have a good way to actually understand the airspace ring numbers or do you just kind of memorize the format and hope for the test. also how bad is the weather section because ive heard thats hard too. test is at a PSI center near me, first time taking it, dont really know what to expect for the format.

the airspace numbers thing clicked for me when someone explained it like this ? the top number is always the ceiling and the bottom is the floor, and when you see it on the chart the top number is MSL and if the floor says SFC that means it goes all the way to the ground. once i stopped trying to memorize which ring was which and just learned to read the actual notation it got way easier.

for the test itself honestly prepware is pretty solid, i think i saw like 4 or 5 questions that were almost identical to ones i had practiced. weather section isnt as bad as people say, just know your METARs and TAFs well enough to decode the basic stuff, they arent going to ask you anything insane. give yourself like 20 minutes before the test ends to go back and flag anything you werent sure on, i changed two answers at the end and im pretty sure at least one of them i changed to the right one.

i took it like two months ago and was in the same boat lol. honestly the test wasnt as hard as i built it up to be in my head. the PSI center thing is whatever, they take your ID, you get a little locker for your stuff and then just sit at a computer. pretty straightforward. just know your airspace and be comfortable with sectionals and youll probably be fine
