EVO II Pro vs EVO II v3 ? which one would you guys actually buy right now

  • Members

ok so im trying to decide between these two and im kind of going in circles reading specs. i do a mix of real estate stuff and some personal landscape flying on weekends. budget isnt unlimited but im willing to spend if there's a real reason to.

from what i can tell the v3 has some improvements but ive seen people say the Pro's 6k camera with the variable aperture is still really compelling, especially for the kind of controlled real estate shots where you need to nail exposure. the v3 seems more focused on like automation features and obstacle avoidance which im not sure i even care that much about.

also not sure how the support situation is with Autel these days, had a friend say they had trouble getting a response when something went wrong with his EVO II but that was like a year and a half ago so maybe its gotten better? idk.

anyone been in this situation or actually flown both? feel like theres a lot of spec sheet comparing out there but not enough from people who actually use them for work.

had the EVO II Pro for about 18 months doing real estate and honestly the variable aperture is not something i would want to give up. for interior/exterior transitions or shooting into windows where the light is all over the place it genuinely helps. i cant speak to the v3 personally but if the Pro does what you need and you can find it at a good price right now i dont think youd regret it.

customer support has been hit or miss for me too, got a fast response once and then waited almost two weeks another time. think it just depends on when you contact them and what the issue is. not great but not the disaster some people make it out to be either.

i mean for real estate specifically do you even need either of those? just asking because a lot of realtors ive shot for cant tell the difference between 4k and 6k once its compressed and uploaded to their MLS portal lol. not trying to talk you out of a nice drone just something to think about before spending the extra money over like a Lite+ or something similar.
