did anyone else see the new FAA remote ID enforcement thing starting up?

so i was reading through some stuff last night and apparently the FAA is actually starting to take remote ID enforcement more seriously this year, like they've been kind of letting it slide for a while but now theres some actual enforcement actions happening. i fly mostly at my local park which is in a pretty low traffic area so i never really worried about it too much but now im second guessing whether my older Mini 2 is fully compliant or if i need to do anything extra with it.

anyone been following this more closely than me? i feel like every time i try to read the actual FAA docs i end up more confused than when i started. just want to know if i need to buy a separate remote ID module or if the mini 2 built in stuff covers it

yeah the Mini 2 has broadcast remote ID built in through firmware so you should be fine as long as its updated. DJI pushed that out a while back. the separate module thing is only if you have an older drone that has no way to broadcast on its own, like pre-2020 stuff or homebuilts.

the enforcement stuff is real though, ive seen a few posts on reddit where people got approached at public spots. mostly just warnings so far from what ive heard but they do seem to be ramping it up. just make sure your firmware is current and you're probably not going to have any issues flying at a park
