honest thoughts on the Mini 4 Pro after 6 months ? worth it or nah

so ive had the Mini 4 Pro since last spring and figured id write up some actual thoughts now that the honeymoon phase is over. i see a lot of reviews from like the first week people get it and honestly those dont tell you much.

the good stuff first ? image quality is genuinely really nice for something this small. obstacle avoidance works better than i expected, had it stop itself a few times when i was being an idiot flying too fast through trees. battery life is decent, i usually get around 30 mins in calm weather which matches what they advertise which honestly surprised me.

the stuff that bugs me ? the RC2 controller feels a little plasticky for what you're paying, and i've had the odd disconnect that made my heart stop even though it reconnected fast. also the app still has weird moments where it just... stutters. not often but enough to notice. nothing that made me crash but still.

overall im happy with it but i wouldnt say its a massive upgrade if you already have a Mini 3 Pro. if youre coming from something older or just starting out its a solid choice. anyway just my two cents after actually flying the thing regularly.

pretty much matches my experience. the obstacle avoidance thing is no joke ? i was flying in my backyard being way too cocky and it just stopped dead in front of my fence. embarrassing but also kind of impressive. the RC2 thing i agree with though, feels weirdly light for the price point. i came from a Mavic Air 2 and the jump in image quality was noticeable to me but i can see how Mini 3 Pro owners might feel like its not enough to justify the cost.

been thinking about picking one up, currently on a Mavic Mini 2 so would def be a bigger jump for me. does the obstacle avoidance work in all directions or just front and back? i keep hearing different things and the DJI site is kinda vague about it
