haha the "my wife doesnt know yet" is doing a lot of work in that post but seriously the avata 2 with motion controller is genuinely more approachable than traditional FPV, DJI actually got that part

the avata 2 is not really what FPV purists consider "real" FPV, the horizon leveling and the stabilization are doing a ton of work for you. which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on wha
so background: i fly a mavic 3 classic and have been doing it for about two years. mostly cinematic stuff, slow and smooth, color grading in post, the whole thing. i have zero FPV experience. none. never even tried a sim.
but ive been watching way too many avata 2 videos lately and something about it just looks so fun and different from what i normally do. i know logically that i should probably spend 100 hours in a sim first and maybe start with something cheaper to crash but the avata 2 with the goggles 3 and the motion controller just looks like you can pick it up without the crazy learning curve of a proper freestyle quad.
is that actually true or is that just DJIs marketing working on me. like how hard is it really coming from zero FPV experience. and is the motion controller actually good or is it a gimmick that real FPV people dont use. genuinely asking because my finger is hovering over the buy button and my wife doesnt know yet
