anyone else just fly for no reason sometimes

so i took the mini out last night just to like... fly around the backyard. no mission, no filming anything, just hovering around looking at the neighbors cat through the fence lol. wasnt even recording. just kind of therapeutic i guess? been a rough week at work and just needed to do something with my hands that wasnt staring at a laptop.

anyway doesnt really go anywhere as a post, just wondering if anyone else does this or if im the only weirdo who flies for zero reason at all

dude yes all the time. honestly some of my favorite sessions have been just messing around in the field behind my house with no SD card even in the drone. zero pressure. i think thats actually how i got better at flying, just goofing off with no stakes

the neighbors cat thing got me lmao. yeah i do this too, usually late evenings when the light is nice and i dont feel like doing anything serious. sometimes i just practice slow orbits around a tree or something. honestly more relaxing than most things i could be doing
