ok so we planned this big group thing, like 8 people showed up which is the most weve ever had, and it just completely fell apart. first the wind picked up way more than the forecast said it would, then one guys remote ID module wasnt working so he was stressed the whole time, and then we had two people flying cinewhoops in the same area which... yeah that was tense for a minute. nobody crashed or anything but it was just kind of chaotic. think we need to actually plan these things better instead of just saying meet at 10am and wing it

yeah 8 people with no real coordination is a lot. we started doing a quick 5 minute briefing before every group fly, just who flies when and what area, and it made a huge difference. sounds dumb but even just deciding on a direction everyone faces helps avoid near misses

remote ID stuff stresses me out too, guy probably should have sorted that before showing up tbh. but yeah group flights without some kind of loose structure always end up a mess in my experience, especially once you get past like 4 or 5 people
