so ive been dealing with this for like 3 weeks now and i cant figure out if its the controller, the drone itself or just my environment. basically what happens is ill be flying maybe 400-600m out, nothing crazy, well within spec, and the video feed just cuts for like 2-3 seconds then comes back. sometimes it reconnects fine, other times it goes into RTH which is whatever but annoying when im trying to get a specific shot.

the weird thing is it doesnt do it every flight. like yesterday i flew for 45 minutes no issues, then this morning same spot same conditions and it dropped signal 4 times in 20 minutes. im in a pretty suburban area so there's wifi everywhere but i switched to 5.8ghz on the RC Pro and it made zero difference. tried updating firmware last week too.

anyone else seen this kind of intermittent thing? its not consistent enough to even properly diagnose which is the most frustrating part

had almost the exact same thing with my air 2s last year, turned out to be interference from a cell tower they'd recently upgraded like half a mile from where i usually fly. thing is 5.8 doesnt always help as much as people think because depending on your environment it can actually have worse penetration through obstacles than 2.4. i know thats counterintuitive but thats been my experience.

what i'd actually try is pulling the flight logs from the DJI app and looking at the signal strength graph over time - if you see it correlated with specific compass or interference warnings that narrows it down a lot. also check if the antenna position on the RC Pro is where it should be, those hinges can get loose and people dont realize one of them is basically flopped down the whole time

could be a loose connection on the drone side too not just the controller. i had a unit that would do intermittent drops and it ended up being a manufacturing defect where one of the internal antenna connectors wasnt fully seated. DJI replaced it under warranty but took forever to get diagnosed because it was so random
