cant stop oscillating on rolls, tried everything

so ive been trying to nail down my tune for like 3 weeks now and the rolls just wont stop bouncing at the end. its like the quad overshoots then corrects then overshoots again, super visible on rolls especially when i snap out of them. ive lowered D on roll like four times already and it honestly feels like its getting worse. running betaflight 4.4, 5inch with 2306 motors, nothing exotic. filtering is mostly stock except i tuned the rpm filter to my specific motors.

starting to wonder if its actually a PID thing or something mechanical like motor screws or prop balance. gonna check props tonight but curious if anyone else has dealt with this specific thing on snap rolls

check your iterm relax settings before you go crazy on D, that caught me off guard for a solid month. also what are your P values sitting at because sometimes people go way too high on P trying to get that snappy feel and it fights itself on the exit. lowering D when P is too high just makes it worse trust me been there
