so my brother in law keeps telling me i made a mistake getting the Avata 2 instead of something like a mini or mavic series. his argument is basically that FPV is a skill that takes forever to learn and in the meantime I could be actually getting usable footage. and honestly after two months i kind of see his point but also kind of dont.
like the footage when it works is incredible, nothing else looks like it. but ive crashed it three times already (nothing catastrophic, the prop guards have been doing their job) and my hit rate for shots i actually want to keep is way lower than i expected. most of my flights are still just me getting comfortable with the sticks rather than actually composing anything intentional.
i guess im wondering if people who came to FPV from normal camera drones found it worth the learning curve or if you wish you had just gotten better at the photography side first before jumping into this
