been running a geprc mark5 for about 8 months now and its been fine, nothing spectacular but nothing broken either. the motors are starting to feel a little rough on two of them and im at the point where im wondering if i should just buy a whole new prebuilt rather than swap motors and retune everything.

the iflight nazgul evoque has been on my radar for a while. a friend swears by iflight but he also just kind of buys whatever is on sale so im not sure how much his opinion counts. main thing i care about is build quality out of the box because im tired of the geprc coming with those garbage motor screws that strip if you look at them wrong, and also just general freestyle performance not racing.

not really interested in going full custom right now, i know i know everyone says build your own but i just dont have the time to source parts and wait on 4 different aliexpress shipments to show up over 3 weeks. prebuilt is fine if its actually well assembled. anyone have real time on both these things

had both at the same time actually for a few months last year. the evoque f5d v2 is genuinely better assembled in my experience, like the wire routing is cleaner and the stack mounting felt more solid. that said the geprc isnt bad, i think your specific issues with the screws might just be a qc lottery thing because my mark4 never gave me that problem but ive heard it from other people too.

freestyle wise theyre pretty similar honestly, both run xing2 or similar motors in that class and the frame geometry is close enough that tuning is going to matter more than which brand you picked. if youre already comfortable with your geprc tune you might just slap some replacement motors on it and call it a day, motor swap on those isnt that bad and youll be back in the air faster than waiting on a new prebuilt to ship

slightly off topic but if youre open to it, flywoo makes some stuff in that range thats worth looking at. the explorer LR4 isnt a freestyle quad but their build quality has been solid in my experience and the price is usually better than iflight. anyway for what youre actually asking yeah iflight has better QC reputation overall just based on what i see people posting when things go wrong
