okay so this has been happening for a while now and i've kind of just been putting up with it but yesterday it dropped signal twice in like a 10 minute flight and i nearly lost the drone coming back over some trees. using the RC-N1 with my Air 2S, phone is a fairly recent Samsung, nothing unusual about the setup as far as i can tell.

it always seems to happen when the drone is maybe 300-400 meters out, not even that far. interference maybe? i've tried switching the video feed to 2.4ghz thinking maybe the 5.8 was getting hit by something but didnt really help. cache cleared on the app, reconnected everything, still doing it. starting to wonder if the cable is the problem or if theres something else going on. anyone dealt with this

the cable between the controller and your phone is almost always the culprit with RC-N1 setups tbh. those things are weirdly finicky. even a slightly loose connection or a cable that looks fine but has a dodgy pin will cause exactly what you're describing ? random drops at range when the signal is already working harder. try a different cable first, ideally a short quality one, before you start going down the interference rabbit hole. i went through two cheap cables before i just bought the official DJI one and the problem basically vanished.

yeah cable is probably it like the other guy said but also worth checking if you have any apps running in the background that might be fighting for resources or messing with the USB connection. some Samsung phones have this thing where they keep trying to do stuff with the USB port in the background. also are you in a built up area? i get occasional weirdness near anything with a lot of wifi routers around, switching to 2.4 usually helps me but you said you already tried that so. might just be the cable honestly
