so ive been working on split s for like 3 weeks now and i can land it maybe 7 out of 10 tries which honestly feels huge for me but the issue is halfway through the rotation the quad just kind of mushes out and loses all its snap. its not a crash but it feels gross and slow compared to what i see guys like mr steele doing where it just whips around. im running a 5in on some older betaflight tune i borrowed from a buddy and i wonder if thats the problem. rates feel ok on the ground but in the air during fast rolls it just doesnt feel crisp. anyone dealt with this or know what to poke at first

probably your p and d terms fighting each other during the roll. old tunes especially if they were copied from someone else can be really off for your specific build. i'd bump d up a tiny bit on roll first before touching anything else and see if the propwash cleans up. also check if you have dynamic damping on or whatever your bf version calls it, that stuff can really kill the snap feeling if its set aggressive

same thing happened to me lol i just kept copying tunes and wondering why everything felt like flying through honey. turned out my motors were also just tired, like the magnets were going and no tune was gonna fix that. how old are your motors and have you checked for any wobble on the shafts
