finally picked up an EVO II Pro 6K ? some thoughts after a few weeks

so ive had the EVO II Pro 6K for about three weeks now and figured id share some stuff since i spent forever reading forums before buying it and didnt find as much real-world info as i wanted

first off the image quality is genuinely impressive for the price point, the variable aperture is something i used constantly on my last camera and i was worried id miss it ? i dont. the 6K sensor gives you a ton of room to crop in post which is nice when you cant reposition for whatever reason

the Autel Sky app has gotten better but its still not as polished as DJI GO or whatever they're calling it now. its functional but sometimes it just feels a little clunky, like the waypoint stuff works fine but setting it up takes more taps than it should

obstacle avoidance is solid. not perfect but ive had it save me from a dumb moment near some tree branches once already so no complaints there

battery life is about what they advertise which honestly surprised me, usually those numbers are like best case scenario stuff but i was getting close to 35-36 minutes in calm conditions

anyone else running the smart controller with this? im debating grabbing one but not sure if the screen is bright enough for midday shoots

but compared to flying with your phone it's such a better experience overall. the built in app loads faster, connection feels more stable, and you dont have to worry about a phone notification screwing with your flight or whatever. i'd say grab it if you do this seriously at all
