so i finally made it out to one of those local drone meetups everyone keeps talking about and idk it was a little weird. like everyone was super friendly but theres this unspoken thing where people are kind of showing off their gear and i felt dumb showing up with just my mini 3. there were guys there with full cinewhoops and long range builds and whatever and im just standing there. flew for maybe 20 minutes and then mostly just watched. not complaining really just didnt expect that vibe, maybe its different at bigger events

nah that sounds like a gear crowd honestly. some meetups are like that, especially if its skewed toward the fpv side. the ones ive enjoyed more were loosely organized around just flying and less about who has the dopest quad. mini 3 is a perfectly good machine, dont let that stuff get in your head

yeah ive had the exact same experience lmao. showed up to one with my air 2s and some dude immediately started asking if i was gonna get into "real" fpv. like ok buddy. i still had fun but i get what you mean, theres definitely a hierarchy thing at some of these. the bigger fly-ins tend to be more mixed which helps
