so ive been using litchi for probably two years now and its fine, does what i need, but ive been hearing more people talk about dronelink lately and im curious if its actually worth switching or if its just one of those things where people hype it up because its newer

main thing i do is linear corridor mapping, sometimes agriculture adjacent stuff but not full on precision ag, mostly just covering ground and getting consistent overlap for photogrammetry later. litchi handles this ok but the interface feels dated and there are a few workflow things that drive me nuts, like editing a mission after the fact is kind of clunky

anyone actually made the switch or uses both? is dronelink more stable on android? that's my other thing, im on a pixel 7 and litchi has been crashing maybe once every 4-5 flights which isn't terrible but its not great either

dronelink guy here, been on it for about 8 months. the mission editing is genuinely better, you can tweak waypoints mid-plan without it feeling like you're fighting the app. that said the learning curve is real, took me a solid weekend before it clicked

cant speak to the android stability thing, im on ipad and its rock solid. heard mixed things about android from people in the dji forums though so id look into that before committing. they do have a free tier you can mess around with before paying so theres no reason not to just try it on your own setup

honestly i tried dronelink for like two weeks and went back to litchi. might just be me being stubborn but i had everything dialed in with litchi and the muscle memory thing is real. if you're starting fresh dronelink probably makes more sense. if you've got hundreds of missions already kinda built around litchi's workflow... ehh
