honestly the test is not as bad as people make it sound, the sectional chart stuff trips everyone up at first but if you spend like 3-4 hours just doing practice questions on the charts it clicks even

passed mine in march. the faa practice questions on their site are worth doing but they dont cover everything that showed up on my actual test so dont rely on just those. i also watched a bunch of you
so ive been putting this off for like two years now and finally just scheduled my test date so now i have to actually study lol. i bought the Tony Northrup book a while back and started reading it but honestly some of the airspace stuff is making my brain melt. like the sectional chart reading is fine i think but when it gets into the weather minimums and the different class airspace ceiling stuff i keep mixing it up.
is the actual test as hard as people make it out to be? i fly mostly in class G and occasionally get authorizations through LAANC so i know the practical side of things but the test feels like a completely different world. any resources you guys actually found helpful would be great, not looking for someone to just tell me to google it
